Context:

Safe Kids Worldwide is a national organization dedicated to reducing unintentional injuries to children through community-centered prevention strategies. Rooted in the belief that every child deserves to grow up in a safe environment, they prioritize reaching families in communities that are most at risk.

Boundless Blackness Approach:

Boundless Blackness consulted for Safe Kids Worldwide’s Black Family Wellness Health and Safety Resource Fair in South Phoenix, Arizona, in partnership with the Phoenix Chapter of the Links, Incorporated, and Faith Missionary Baptist Church. Through innovative on-the-ground interviews with faith leaders, physicians, and community members, we produced a narrative piece that centered the voices of South Phoenix families, honoring the dignity and complexity of the community being served. We also evaluated cultural strategy approaches for providing safety resources for marginalized communities.

We delivered a publication-ready editorial for Safe Kids Worldwide, uplifting the human story of their impact in South Phoenix. The piece produced a culturally grounded storytelling asset that captured not just what happened at the event, but why it mattered and how it can be used to improve and inform future projects.
